African Countries to Explore this ‘Xmas

2020 has been a long year and it’s only great to relive this period with a trip to one of the African countries.

The great thing about African countries is that apart from it being beautiful and having a lot of great destinations to visit, you don’t have to worry about Visa.

You can also get to some of these countries by road to save cost or by air if you don’t like stress.


I visited Ghana for 2019 Christmas and it’s somewhere I’ll definitely love to go again. Ghana is easily accessible by road or by air and has great historical sites for you to visit.

The Top places to visit in Ghana are

– The Independence Square

– The Labadi beach

– Osu Castle etc.

When in Ghana, make sure to eat Ghana Jollof, Banku, Wakye and Kenke. You can read about my experience in Ghana here


Cape Verde is also known as Cabo Verde and it’s one African country you need to visit in your life time. If not for Rona, I would have definitely ticked this off my bucket list.

It’s an amazing holiday experience and it’s one you need to add to your bucket list.

If you’re going from Nigeria, you definitely cannot go by road. A return ticket with Cabo Verde airline cost from 130,000 and above depending on when and where you book your ticket. You don’t need a visa to get to Cape Verde but you’ll have to pay for a travel entry(not sure of the right word) at the Cabo Verde airport (12,000 naira)


There are a lot of places to visit in Kenya. Kenya boats of wide life preserves and scenic landscapes. Please make sure to see giraffes and tick it off your bucket list that’s if it’s there.

You need an entry visa into Kenya and you can get it at the point of your entry into Kenya. Make sure to have fun in Kenya and enjoy yourself.


Located in West Africa with the capital being Dakar. The country is famous for their food and rich musical culture. Top places to visit in Senegal

-Goree Island

-Dakar Museum

-Pink Lake

-Lompoul Desert

Make sure to try the Senegalese fish and rice.


Rwanda’s capital city is Kigali and if you’re going from Nigeria, it’ll take you about 7 hours. There’s a direct flight with Rwandair.

-Kigali Genocide and Memorial Center

-Volcanoes National Park

Lake Kivu
