Amala is a food of joy for me😂 So when I heard that Olaiya also had a branch in Lekki. I knew I had to go pay homage.
Currently listening to Original Gangster by Reminisce and Adekunle Gold.
OLAIYA FOOD
Located at 11, Ayinde Akinmade Street, Lekki Phase 1.
Olaiya has always been known for their Amala, although they sell other kinds of food .
I and my mom tried to locate their place with a Google map and finally I found it.
Y’all would have to forgive my pictures because I went at night.
I got in and moved to the counter to place my order. Unfortunately for me there was no Okra (Ila)😭 I prefer my Amala with Okra.
I had no choice than to go with Ewedu and Gbegiri and it tasted great in my mouth.
I’ll be returning back but this time they better have my Okra.
They usually have plenty customers. They are also greatly affordable. (It’s bad to use the word cheap)
Their environment is neat.
They have a moderate parking space.
Their attendants are mostly Yorubas (well what do you expect, you heard ‘OLAIYA’) and they can be slow.
Apart from Amala, I have tasted their other meals (while in Unilag) and it tastes great.
They’re not my favorite Amala spot as Iya Moria still tops my list.
I’ll give them a 7/10
DAMAGE
AMALA- 100 per scoop
PONMO-200
OGBUFE(GOAT MEAT)-600
WATER-200
They also have a charge for VAT.
